NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) — Creative minds are responsible for making things stand out around us. Buildings, walls, and clothing all get a fashion twist. This concept is happening here, as part of Nashville Design Week.
That bluish light in a Nashville studio didn’t happen by chance. Lighting designers like Meagan Backes choose what works.
“You’ll see it here in restaurants, in kids’ classrooms, offices, outside in the parking lot,” Backes said.
Lighting ideas are the reason Backes came to Nashville Design Week, where architects, building designers and fashion designers come together to find inspiration.
“All these types of people and they get together and say hello, I got some stuff worth seeing,” Backes said.
Ideas turn into reality like the Batman Building in Nashville, a bold and creative design. So who knows where Metro Art’s children’s designs might one day lead.
Creations seem to happen here every day, that mural on Trinity Lane or a car full of graphics. And other ideas are simmering in the kitchen.
“Hey, we have someone, a chef. They’re here to figure out what the restaurant looks like, the menu, the interior design so someone can go and enjoy a meal.”
