BTS lands huge Louis Vuitton gig and other fashion news you missed


In what is a huge step since their most recent (and unexpected) collaboration with McDonalds, K-pop sensation that is boyband BTS, has now been announced as an official brand ambassador for Louis Vuitton. Sure, Jung Kook, J-Hope, V, RM, Jin, Suga and Jimin have collectively produced Louis V red carpet looks for years, but today marks an official alliance between the luxury label and the group. pop, which will see the two reunite through a series of TBC special projects.

“Becoming global brand ambassadors for Louis Vuitton is a really exciting time for us,” the group said in a statement. And while this signals the first major fashion deal for BTS, it’s not the first time the fashion industry has teamed up with wild K-pop hits. With each member of BLACKPINK signing top-notch relationships with distinct Parisian fashion houses, Vuitton’s decision to nab Korea’s biggest export, BTS, is nothing short of a coup. “I’m thrilled that BTS is joining Louis Vuitton today,” said Vuitton Artistic Director Virgil Abloh. “I am delighted with this wonderful partnership which adds a modern chapter to the House, merging luxury and contemporary culture.
