Gigi Hadid REPLACES Alexa Chung on Netflix’s Next In Fashion as the model is confirmed to host the show’s second season with Tan France










Gigi Hadid will replace Alexa Chung in the second season of Netflix’s Next In Fashion.

The model, 26, will co-host the upcoming series alongside Queer Eye’s Tan France, 38, who hosted the first season alongside Alexa, also 38.

Both Gigi and Tan confirmed the news on Instagram on Monday, writing, “Who would have thought when we met on Facetime 4 years ago that we would be hosting NEXT IN FASHION TOGETHER!”

Their identical social media posts continued, “You read that right!” The secret is out. You better get ready, the casting is now open.

Along with the news, fashionistas posted a photo of themselves putting on a friendly show at a fashion party.

Alexa has yet to comment on the news.

The fashion contest’s first series hit Netflix in January 2020.

It saw a group of innovative designers compete to become the next big name in the industry and win a cash prize of $250,000 and the chance to launch their collection with Net-a-Porter.

Speaking five months after the first season of Next In Fashion on Netflix, Tan hinted that there would be no follow-up season.

He told Variety at the time: “We’re not doing a second season. This is a one-season show, we don’t know what will happen in the future.

“But it was honestly one of the proudest things I’ve ever worked on. I love the show and Alexa so much,’ he said.

While teasing the possibility of the show’s return, Tan said of his future plans, “I’m definitely focusing on Queer Eye and moving forward.”

South Korean designer Minju Kim was crowned the winner of the first season, beating 17 hopefuls for the top spot.

Prior to her appearance on the show, Minju won the H&M Design Award and also designed clothes for K-Pop girl group Red Velvet and megastars BTS.

Her collection debuted with Net-a-Porter, and she recently admitted to the brand that being on the show made her realize she was “capable of anything.”
