New H&M look unveiled at Festival Place Basingstoke – Retail Times
As part of its continued commitment to Festival Place, H&M Hennes & Mauritz – the Swedish multinational clothing retailer – undertook a complete overhaul of the store which it first opened in 2003 in the center.
The new H&M store will feature a unique interior appearance, covering over 1,400 square meters and spread over two floors, with an emphasis on creating a modern and relevant shopping experience.

Festival Place, which opened in October 2002, was acquired by AEW in December 2015 with the aim of transforming, modernizing and creating a vastly improved offering and shopping environment for customers. The deal with H&M reflects AEW’s successful lease renewal program at the center’s 200 retail, foodservice and entertainment brands, showing retailer confidence in the program, with further announcements expected shortly.

Festival Place is the top ranked shopping center both in Hampshire and outside a major UK city. It is in the top 20 of GlobalData’s UK shopping center report and Trevor Wood Associates ranks it in its Premier League of shopping centers.
The center is located in the heart of Basingstoke, the seventh richest city in the UK and the largest in Hampshire. With some 1.7 million residents within a 30-minute drive and 11,500 office workers within a 10-minute walk, the 1.1 million square foot retail and leisure destination offers brands retail, foodservice and entertainment companies such as Apple, Next, SuperDry, TKMaxx, Pandora, Jack Wills, JD Sports and FatFace.
