Princess Charlene of Monaco unrecognizable as she launches bold new look
Princess Charlene of Monaco debuted with a new hairstyle on a recent trip to South Africa.
The beloved and royal former athlete showed off her awesome new fit as she traveled to the country on an anti-poaching operation.
The 43-year-old took to Instagram to share a number of images, wearing khaki with the sides of her hair cropped.
“It was an absolute pleasure to support a South African anti-poaching unit,” she wrote next to one of the pictures.
“My sincere thanks for the safety of our wildlife and rhinos. With all my love and respect.
A number of people jumped into the comments to praise the princess on her hard work.
“Princess Charlene, thank you for using your position to shed light on this horrible situation. It has gone on for too long and must end now !!” one person said.
“Thank you for your service in helping these beautiful animals,” replied another.
Several people have also chosen to divert the topic of conversation from her work to her new haircut.
“I also love your hair how refreshing it is,” one person said.
“Why Charlene had this hairstyle, I don’t like it,” replied another.
“Wonderful that your job is so important… and your haircut looks amazing to you,” replied a third.
Princess Charlene represented South Africa in swimming at the Sydney Olympics in 2000.
In 2011, she married the Sovereign Prince of Monaco, Prince Albert, whom she met in 2000.
The couple reportedly met at a swimming competition, but did not appear as a couple in public until the opening ceremony of the Winter Olympics in 2006.
They share two children together.
