Crikey, Robert Irwin is a hottie!
The 18-year-old son of late crocodile hunter Steve Irwin and wildlife warrior Terri Irwin graced the cover of Stellar Magazine for his very first fashion shoot, and fans are losing him over the hottie photos.
On the cover, Robert is a Hollywood heartthrob in a purple T-shirt with rolled up sleeves and a set of classic pants. The high fashion look gives big Hollywood vibes. Inside the magazine, Robert posed for a series of additional shots, including one in an all-denim ensemble and another in a spin on his favorite khaki.
In each of the snaps, Robert gives the camera a sexy look or stares into the distance. For fans of the reality TV star, they know that he normally prefers to be behind the camera, taking the pictures as he has become a well-known wildlife photographer in addition to working at his family’s Australian Zoo.
All of the Stellar Magazine set photos were also taken at the family zoo. Fans were quick to note that he was “old school handsome” while other fans noted that they needed a “minute to recover” after seeing the spread.
Robert posted the photos on his Instagram and wrote alongside the snap, “Well it was definitely something different, being invited to be on the cover of Australian magazine Stellar! @stellarmag.
In the interview, Robert explained that he grew up at the zoo without his father.
“Because I’m sort of coming of age, I turned 18 and the navigation is hard enough [but] when you’re in my situation and you don’t have a father figure to guide you, it’s really difficult,” he said.
“Second last year, I walked my sister down the aisle, and you do this stuff and think, ‘That was dad’s job. It wasn’t mine. So it’s just those bittersweet moments that you get all the time.
Of his mother Terri, Robert praised her for how she single-handedly raised two children and kept Australia Zoo alive during the pandemic.
“She walked us through Covid effortlessly, and she had to be mom and dad,” he said. “Whenever times are really tough, and I wish dad was around, I just think how proud he would be of mom.”
And while fans can’t get over Robert’s super hot shots, just a few years ago Robert told Access Hollywood that he doesn’t pay too much attention to his love life, despite his mother and his sister, Bindi, revealing that Robert has quite a fanbase due to his good looks and sweet personality.
“Yeah, well, they’re just humans,” Terri joked of the girls who showed interest in Robert. “I love seeing him grow up and have a passion for photography. There are also a lot of young girls who love photography.
Terri said she definitely gave her son a subtle boost when the girls reached out to Robert about photography.
“I’ll say, she’s kinda cute,” Terri said.
“And he’ll be like yeah, she’s got a Canon Eos mark 1 thing with a dealymabobber f2.8 and awesome ISO. And I’m like, ‘Wow good for her.'”
Robert joked during the 2018 interview that he just wasn’t interested in dating right now and said he was focusing his energy on his on-camera skills!
“It’s fun trying to explain photography to mum and Bindi because I’m a bit obsessed with it. I love it. The technical side of things – when you get into all the different lenses and cameras – and I start talking about it and I think they’re paying attention because they’re nodding and smiling and I’ll ask them what I’m coming from to say – and I think it goes right over their heads.
Bindi and Terri nodded in agreement, saying yes, most of this stuff goes over their heads, but they still love Robert!
“That’s Robert’s true love in life right now, and his focus. We love you,” Bindi said.
“If a girl needs a camera, she’s in,” Terri joked.
“Yeah, but only because of the camera,” Bindi joked. “This is very fun.”
“They’re very supportive,” joked Robert.
Well, maybe after this latest Robert look, he might have some new fans to come!
