Kicking off our April 2022 fashion news is Dior’s Spring-Summer 2022 campaign starring It-girl Ji Soo. As Dior’s global fashion and beauty ambassador, the BLACKPINK star continues to shine in ’60s-inspired Dior designs from Marc Bohan’s iconic Slim Look archives. This season’s designs are bold and flirtatious, filled with boxy, clean silhouettes. Our favorite fashion moment is spotting Ji Soo in a matching bright yellow suit with matching Lady Dior bag.
Valentino returns to the city of Rome. The Fall/Winter 2022-23 Haute Couture collection will begin on July 8, 2022 in two emblematic locations: Piazza Mignanelli and Trinità dei Monti. During the Fall/Winter 2021 Haute Couture show, striking hues and sartorial elegance played an important role in the collection. Creative director Pierpaolo Piccioli expresses: “Roma is the place where everything begins, life, people, our stories and our identities are here. We belong to this place as much as this place belongs to the world and to Valentino.

Celebrating the iconic Fendi Peekaboo bag, the brand collaborated with renowned director and longtime friend of the House, Luca Guadagnino. This partnership resulted in a short film, depicting Adwoa Aboah reincarnated on screen as a superwoman, hovering above Roman rooftops before arriving at Fendi’s Palazzo della Civilta Italiana.
“My mother wore Fendi in the 70s and 80s, so the Fendi logo, type of materials, quality and design have always been part of my imagery,” said the filmmaker. Watch the campaign video here.
In a love letter to New York, international fashion house Coach launches its Spring 2022 collection. Filled with retro vintage prints, houndstooth prints from Bonnie’s archives and Big Apple icons , Stuart Vevers’ vision for the house pays homage to the shared progressive attitude of its first chief designer, Bonnie Cashin.
“Spring presents my vision of a new vocabulary of American fashion. It’s also a celebration of the colorful and upbeat optimism of Coach’s first designer, Bonnie Cashin,” said the creative director.
So where is Louis Vuitton taking us for its next presentation? Today, the Maison announced the venue for its Cruise 2023 collection, which will be held at the Salk Institute in La Jolla, San Diego County, California on May 12, 2022.
The institute is a famous treasure trove of modern and brutalist architecture designed by the Estonian-born American architect, Louis Kahn, in collaboration with its namesake and founder, Dr. Jonas Salk, a scientist who left his indelible mark on the scientific community by discovering the first safe and effective polio vaccine. On another historical note, this will be the very first fashion show to be held at the Salk Institute.
