WAU unveils new Kostecki livery
Kurt Kostecki will wear the SP Tools colors when he returns to the Repco Supercars Championship grid in Sydney next month.
Walkinshaw wildcard Andretti United will compete in the second Supercars event, the Sydney SuperNight, at Sydney Motorsport Park from November 6-7.
Tickford Racing driver, backed by Castrol, Thomas Randle, will also have his last wildcard appearance of the year this weekend.
The livery will make its track debut tomorrow at Winton Motor Raceway as part of a rookie test.
“It’s great to have SP Tools involved with our team again, we’ve had a great time together before, and the # 27 car is fantastic,” said team principal Bruce Stewart.
“Kurt definitely impressed us in the first two wildcard entries this season at The Bend and Darwin, so we can’t wait to see him with us for the Sydney SuperNight alongside Chaz. [Mostert] and Bryce [Fullwood].
“I’m sure tomorrow’s practice day will be very useful after being out of the car from Darwin, but we’ll also all be working hard to make sure he’s as comfortable as possible for the start of the race. the event in Sydney so he can have the best possible weekend.
Of the six races he has competed in this year, Kostecki has secured a sixth place, the best of the season, at the Hidden Valley Raceway.
